Talent FAQ

What is “Talent?”

Talent refers to those in the adult industry who use their looks and/or performance abilities to please the customer.  Talent might refer to modeling, acting, video performance, escorting, erotic massage, go-go dancing, stripping, or webcam performance.  Each of these different jobs within the adult, or sex, industry have completely different skill sets, and depending on where you live, might even be against the law.  However, there is a place for lots of different types of people within the adult industry.  You don’t have to be classically good looking even to succeed.  Perhaps you are a people person, or you have special skills!  There is probably some way you can use your talent to make a splash in the industry.

How much money can I make?

There are many variables when it comes to how much you will be making exactly.  It depends on what you are interested and willing to do, in some cases how good looking you are, and even if you are good looking and interested, you might need special performance skills to make a lot.  Some porn models, for example, make a lot of money because they not only look good but they fuck like devils and have developed a fan base.  There is also a question of how much time you are putting into your work.  Someone who spends 2 hours per week on webcam shows is bound to be making less money than someone doing 2 or 3 porn videos per week, for example.

The short answer to this question is that it depends.  It will certainly be better than most people make on an hourly basis, but it may not be those four figure numbers you sometimes hear about.  If it sounds too good to be true, then it just might be untrue.

Isn’t Porn and all of that sketchy?

Like every business, there are some slimy bastards who want to take advantage of those who don’t know any better.  Luckily for us living in the 21st century, the Internet and some quick searches can usually give us the answers that we need to calm our minds.  If you are talking to a producer or a photographer, for example, ask to see examples of his or her work.  Be wary of people who can’t immediately produce examples of their work, and in general someone with a gmail address isn’t going to be as legit as someone with a nice looking website and an email address to match it.
